Stop Spiraling, Start Thriving: A New Workbook for Building Emotional Sobriety
Recovery is about way more than just putting down your D.O.C. (drug of choice). You can be physically sober and still feel like you’re riding an emotional rollercoaster most days. That’s why emotional sobriety is such a key part of lasting recovery. It helps you stay balanced, calm, and in control of your emotions, no matter what life throws your way.
What Is Emotional Sobriety?
It’s learning to feel all your feeling. The good, bad, and blah, without letting them take over. It’s being able to handle stress, conflict, and disappointment without falling apart. In short: physical sobriety is putting down the substance; emotional sobriety is putting down the drama.
Without emotional sobriety, we risk swapping addictions, damaging relationships, or staying stuck in that edgy, off-balance place that’s so common in early recovery. Emotional sobriety helps you stay calm, confident, and grounded, even when life gets messy (because it will).
To support you with this, I created the Emotional Sobriety Companion Workbook. Inside, you’ll find simple tools, reflection prompts, and exercises to strengthen your emotional resilience. I also included bonus goal-setting pages to keep you motivated and moving forward because thriving doesn’t happen by accident.
Whether you’re new to recovery or have been working at it for years, this workbook is here to help you stop spiraling and step into a more peaceful, present way of living.
