New Workbook: Exploring Your Window of Tolerance
Last week on the blog, we talked about the window of tolerance. It’s that range where your body and mind can handle life without flipping into survival mode. Inside the window, you can feel and think clearly; outside of it, you might find yourself in fight, flight, freeze, or fawn.
I heard from so many of you that the concept really clicked, but you wanted something more hands-on. So this week, I’ve put together a free workbook to help you explore your own window of tolerance.
What’s Inside
This workbook isn’t about memorizing definitions. It’s about practicing. You’ll find:
A coloring exercise to map your window visually.
Prompts to spot your personal signs of hyperarousal and hypoarousal.
Reflection pages to connect triggers with tools.
A “tool bank” to collect what helps you return to center.
Why It Matters
Understanding your window of tolerance helps you recognize when you’re grounded and when you’ve tipped out of balance. More importantly, it gives you the power to notice, pause, and use tools to come back to yourself—without shame.
How to Use It
Print it, doodle in it, color outside the lines, and make it your own. Healing isn’t about doing it perfectly; it’s about showing up and practicing. Every time you do, your window gets just a little wider.
You can download the workbook here.
I’m excited to see how this tool supports your journey. If you missed last week’s post, you can read it here for a deeper dive into the concept before you start filling in your workbook.
